About the role
We’re looking for compassionate, dedicated Support Workers to join our welcoming team in Ormesby, Norfolk. We have full-time, part-time, and relief opportunities available, and as the gentlemen we support love getting out and about in the their local town, a full UK driving licence is essential.
You’ll be supporting three wonderful gentlemen in their 50s and 60s who live together and enjoy a calm, structured home environment. Each person has complex health needs, including PEG feeding and stoma care, so you’ll need to feel confident supporting with personal care, moving and assisting (including hoisting), and managing specialist health routines. While support is delivered on a 1:1 basis, you’ll always be working as part of a three-person team on shift, creating a safe, supportive environment.
This is a role where you can truly make a difference in someone’s everyday life. The gentlemen enjoy scenic drives around Norfolk, music and sensory sessions, and regular boat trips on the Broads—moments that bring real joy and that you’ll help make possible. Alongside these experiences, you’ll support day-to-day routines and encourage independence in ways that are respectful, empowering, and tailored to each individual.
Shifts are flexible and shaped around the people we support, typically including a mix of long days (7am–10pm), early shifts (7am–2:30pm), and late shifts (2:30pm–10pm), along with sleep-ins. You’ll also take part in a fair rolling rota with alternate weekends.
About youYou’ll be someone who truly lives our values of Ambition, Courage, Integrity, Partnership, and Respect. You’ll bring a calm, patient, and adaptable approach, feeling confident responding to changing needs with empathy and professionalism.
Strong communication skills are essential—both verbal and non-verbal—as is the ability to really listen and understand the people you support. You’ll feel comfortable supporting personal care and complex health needs, be open to learning new specialist skills, and confident using technology to keep accurate records.
Most importantly, you’ll have the passion and commitment to support people to live rich, fulfilling lives on their own terms.
