About the role
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll be supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live independently and enjoy life to the fullest.
You’ll be working on a two-week rolling rota, including a mix of:
- Early shifts
- Late shifts
- Long days
- Mid shifts
- Wake nights
- Every other weekend
What you’ll be doing
You’ll support people with all aspects of daily living, including:
- Personal care and wellbeing
- Preparing meals and supporting with cooking
- Household tasks such as cleaning and shopping
- Supporting people to attend appointments
- Encouraging independence and choice
You’ll also help people take part in activities they enjoy, such as:
- Walking, swimming and bowling
- Music, dancing and crafts
- Shopping and days out
- Holidays and visiting family
- Car rides and social activities
What we’re looking for
- A positive, caring and patient approach
- Reliability – someone who does what they say they will do
- Strong values of honesty and integrity
- A genuine passion for supporting others
- A full UK manual driving licence and access to your own car (essential due to location and transport needs)
Experience isn’t required – we’ll provide full training and support you every step of the way.
