About the role
We’re looking for Support Workers to join our brand-new service in Lymm, Warrington, supporting three young men as they take one of the biggest and most exciting steps in their lives — moving into their very first home away from their families.
This is a truly unique opportunity to be part of something from the very beginning. Not only will you help shape a warm, supportive and happy home for these young men, but you’ll also have the chance to make a genuine and lasting difference during a hugely important stage of their lives.
Each gentleman has a learning disability and autism and is beginning a new chapter focused on growing independence, building confidence, developing daily living skills and achieving personal goals. As a Support Worker, you’ll be there to encourage, guide and champion them every step of the way.
This role is about far more than providing support — it’s about helping people thrive. Whether that’s supporting someone to learn a new skill, build routines in their new home, access their community, develop friendships or simply gain the confidence to try something new, every day will bring opportunities to make meaningful moments happen.
Shift Pattern
Long Day 7am - 10pm; Early 7am - 2:30pm; Late 2:30pm -10pm
Waking Night - 10pm - 7am
Availability to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) is expected to maintain continuity of care
About you
For the right person, this is also an incredibly rewarding opportunity professionally and personally. If you’re someone who is passionate about empowering people, celebrating progress and helping others achieve goals they may never have thought possible, this role offers the chance to be part of an exciting journey from day one.
You’ll help create a home filled with encouragement, positivity, structure and fun, while providing person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs, communication styles, interests and aspirations.
Day-to-day, your role may include:
You’ll be patient, positive, reliable and compassionate, with a genuine passion for helping people live the lives they choose. Experience in care or support work is helpful, but it isn’t essential — what matters most is your attitude, enthusiasm and values.
You’ll understand the importance of consistency, encouragement and building trusting relationships, particularly when supporting autistic people and individuals with learning disabilities. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who believes in people’s potential and wants to help them grow in confidence, independence and happiness.
