– Current Support Worker

If you're energetic, caring and enjoy helping people make the most of life, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, established team where your support will have a genuine impact every day.

About the role

We're looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team in Crowthorne (RG45), supporting two ladies and two gentlemen aged 40s–60s with learning disabilities, autism and epilepsy.

This is a warm, sociable home where people enjoy spending time together, exploring their interests and being active within their local community. You'll play a key role in supporting people to live independently, maintain relationships and enjoy the activities that matter most to them.

The people we support enjoy:

  • Photography, music and dancing
  • Elvis music and live entertainment
  • Clubs, restaurants and local events
  • Creative hobbies and community activities
  • Social groups, outings and spending time with friends

One gentleman communicates using gestures and sounds rather than words, and one person uses a wheelchair when accessing the community. Building strong relationships and understanding each person's communication style is an important part of the role.

Support includes:

  • Personal care and daily living support
  • Medication administration
  • Meal preparation and healthy routines
  • Community activities and social outings
  • Mobility and wheelchair support
  • Household tasks and maintaining a welcoming home
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and choice

Shifts:

  • 7:00am – 2:30pm
  • 2:30pm – 10:00pm
  • Long days: 7:00am – 10:00pm
  • Sleep-ins: 10:00pm – 7:00am (£50 paid to sleep)

Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.

About you

You'll be a great fit if you're:

  • Caring, compassionate and person-centred
  • Energetic, positive and approachable
  • A confident communicator and relationship builder
  • Reliable, proactive and organised
  • Passionate about supporting independence and wellbeing
  • Happy to get involved in activities and community events
  • A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively
  • A manual driver with a full UK driving licence

Experience is helpful but not essential — we'll provide all the training and support you need to succeed.

Rewards that make a difference

  • A competitive payrate with uplift for overtime you chose to work
  • Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs
  • 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays – pro rata)
  • Opportunities for career progression
  • Supported ‘Learn to Drive’ scheme (up to 30 driving lessons, 1 theory/practical test - all paid for by us)
  • We offer a salary advance scheme where you can access up to 50% of the money you've earned before payday.
