About the roleWe're looking for a compassionate and committed Support Worker to join a well-established team supporting a gentleman in his 30s with autism in his own home in Chippenham (SN15).
He communicates in his own unique way and doesn't use words to communicate, but he is highly expressive, intuitive and engaging. Building trust and understanding his communication style is central to supporting him well.
Over recent years, with consistent person-centred support, he has developed greater independence and confidence. Incidents and behaviours of distress have reduced significantly, and he continues to achieve meaningful outcomes with the support of a dedicated team around him.

You'll provide predominantly 1:1 support, with some funded 2:1 hours to support activities and community access.
Your role will include:
Typical shifts include long days with sleep-ins, with rotas provided in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.
