About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team in Farnborough, supporting four gentlemen and one lady in their shared supported living home.

The people we support are aged in their 50s and have learning disabilities and autism. They are looking for Support Workers who will take the time to get to know them, share their interests and support them to live the lives they choose.

  • Going to the cinema and local theatres
  • Bowling trips
  • Listening to music, especially artists such as Meat Loaf, Queen, Michael Jackson and Simply Red
  • Taking part in music sessions at home
  • Shopping for clothes and personal items
  • Enjoying coffee and cake outings
  • Visiting the seaside and taking walks along the coast

You'll also support individuals with mobility and personal care needs. While all five people choose to use wheelchairs when out in the community, three of them are able to walk around the home environment.

Every day is different, and you'll play an important role in helping the people we support enjoy meaningful activities, maintain relationships and develop their independence.

The people we support would like you to know that not everyone communicates using words. They each have their own unique ways of expressing their needs, preferences and feelings. If you haven't supported someone who communicates non-verbally before, that's absolutely fine. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you build your skills and confidence.

This role includes a mixture of:

  • Early shifts: 7:30am to 3:00pm
  • Late shifts: 2:30pm to 10:00pm
