About the role

  • Support Worker
  • Part time contracts - 15 or 22.5 hours per week
  • £14.01 per hour
  • East Finchley, London
  • Full UK MANUAL driving licence essential.

We are looking for two Support Workers to join our team in East Finchley on a part-time contract.

You'll be supporting a young man in his 20s to live the life he chooses and achieve the things that are important to him. He enjoys being present in his local community and loves getting out for daily drives, visiting parks, museums, zoos, and other favourite places. While he enjoys having people around him, he also values his own space and prefers a calm, predictable environment at home.

Using a person-centred approach, you'll work alongside him to build on his strengths, promote independence, and ensure he has choice and control in his daily life. You'll support him to be part of his local community, maintain routines that are important to him, and take part in experiences that help him stay active, engaged, and connected.

The role includes providing 1:1 support at home and 2:1 support. You'll support him with day-to-day living tasks, including meal preparation, shopping, cooking, managing his home environment, and supporting with personal care where needed, always encouraging him to do as much as possible for himself. You'll also play an important role in maintaining a safe and positive environment by following his Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan and recognising the importance of consistency, structure, and proactive support.

About you

We're looking for someone with experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or positive behaviour support needs. You'll be patient, resilient, and confident building positive relationships while promoting choice, independence, and wellbeing.

You'll be able to follow support plans consistently, remain calm under pressure, and work effectively as part of a team.

A full UK manual driving licence is required. Most importantly, you'll share our values and be passionate about helping people live the life they choose.
