About Dimensions

Every day is an opportunity to create impact, joy, and independence for the people we support. Your work, whether direct, or behind the scenes, contributes to unforgettable moments that change lives.

Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.

My Ideal Support Staff

I'm looking for someone who's confident, friendly and loves a good chat. I enjoy having a laugh with the people who support me, so if you're someone who can bring energy, conversation and a sense of fun to your day, we'll get along great!

It helps if we have some shared interests too. I love going to the theatre, playing bingo, attending pop concerts (I'm a proud 90s baby!), playing Crash Bandicoot on the PlayStation, spending time with animals, and watching football -  yes, girls like football too. If you enjoy any of those things, that's a definite bonus.

I'm not concerned about whether you're male or female. What's most important to me is finding someone who is kind, open-minded and willing to build a genuine connection.

I'd also love someone who is adventurous and happy to step outside their comfort zone. I have big ambitions and lots of goals I want to achieve, and I'd like my support team to be excited about helping me make them happen. One of my dreams is to take a hot air balloon ride! On a day-to-day basis, I enjoy support workers who aren't afraid to join in, have a dance, sing along at concerts and share in the fun.

Supporting me can sometimes come with its challenging moments, so you'll need to be resilient, patient and able to remain calm and positive when things don't go to plan. Building a consistent, trusting relationship with me is really important.

You'll also need to be flexible and reliable. I receive support 24 hours a day, so shift patterns can vary, and being part of a dependable team is essential to helping me live the life I choose.

I'm looking for someone who is committed to learning and developing their skills. You'll need to be willing to complete a range of training so you can understand my needs, provide the best possible support and help me achieve my goals.

I share my home with my very fluffy and friendly cat, Susie, who is an important part of my life. Because of this, you'll need to be comfortable around cats and not have any cat allergies. Susie loves attention and cuddles, and you'll earn extra brownie points if you're happy to help me keep her looking her best!

A full UK/EU driving licence is essential for this role. I use my automatic car to get out and about, visit different places and enjoy new experiences, so you'll need to be a confident driver who is comfortable driving on motorways, through city centres and on a variety of roads.

Most importantly, I'm looking for someone who will encourage me, believe in me, support my ambitions and help me make the most of every opportunity life has to offer.

Shifts:

As I receive support 24 hours a day, you'll need to be flexible and reliable, as shift patterns vary depending on my plans, activities and appointments.

Typical shifts include:

Full day with sleep-in: 8:00am - 10:00pm, followed by a sleep-in from 10:00pm - 8:00am
Full day without sleep-in: 8:00am - 9:00pm
Half-day shifts: 8:00am - 3:00pm or 3:00pm - 9:00pm

Start times can vary between 8:00am and 9:00am, depending on what I have planned for the day.

As I enjoy attending concerts, theatre shows and other evening events, there will be regular occasions when shifts finish later than 11:00pm. You'll therefore need to have reliable transport arrangements for getting home when public transport may not be available.

You'll never be working alone, as I am supported by a 2:1 staffing team at all times. Overnight, there is always a waking night colleague on shift alongside the sleep-in team member, ensuring consistent support and providing reassurance for everyone involved.
