About the role

We’re looking for warm, confident and proactive Support Workers to join our team in Peasedown St John, Bath (BA2).

You’ll support six individuals (five gentlemen and one lady) aged 20s–60s, each living in their own self-contained flat within a supported living service. With no core shared support, this is a truly person-centred role, allowing you to build meaningful one-to-one relationships and tailor your approach to each individual.

This is a diverse and rewarding service supporting people with:

  • Autism
  • Learning disabilities
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Epilepsy
  • Behaviours of distress (supported through PBS plans)

Who you will be supporting

Each person you support has their own unique routine, interests and personality. They enjoy a rich, active lifestyle, including:

  • Walking, bowling and archery
  • Plane spotting and dining out
  • Music sessions, singing and musicals
  • Cooking, cleaning and daily routines
  • Spending time with friends, staff and loved ones

Family involvement is strong, and you’ll play an important role in maintaining positive, respectful relationships with them.

What you will be doing

Your role will be varied, meaningful and focused on supporting independence, including:

  • Providing personal care based on individual needs
  • Supporting daily living skills and routines
  • Preparing meals and following SALT guidance where required
  • Administering medication, including epilepsy protocols
  • Following Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
  • Supporting communication in ways that suit each individual
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and life skills
  • Working independently (lone working) while remaining connected to your team

Shift patterns

Shifts are worked flexibly and include:

  • Early: 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • Late: 3:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Day: 10:00am – 6:30pm / 8:00am – 6:30pm
  • Sleep-in: 10:00pm – 7:00am (£50 paid to sleep)

Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work–life balance.

About you

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

  • Confident and comfortable with lone working
  • Kind, patient and calm in your approach
  • Organised and able to follow routines with attention to detail
  • Proactive and person-centred
  • A strong communicator who adapts their approach
  • Reliable and motivated to make a difference
  • A driver (auto-friendly licence essential)

Experience is helpful but not essential — full training will be provided to support your development.
