We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been accredited for a second year in a row with the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Women, which is part of the Great Place to Work survey, and have ranked 28th out of 55 finalists in the Super Large category.
In terms of our position in the UK Best Workplaces Super Large category, and compared to our 26th out of 39 ranking last year, this is really positive as there were more successful participants, meaning we’re ranked in the top half whereas we were previously placed in the lower half. Most importantly – to be successful involves reaching a threshold based on colleague feedback.
The survey focused on our female colleagues’ workplace experiences and how well represented and supported they are in the workforce and in management/leadership roles. They were pleased to find that female colleagues had a positive overall experience at work and there was a commitment from Dimensions to addressing gender equality issues and building a better future for women at work.
Dimensions is committed to ensuring equality, representation and fairness for women in the workplace, and has a number of programmes to support this, including some initiatives such as the Hours of Work Pledge, our network of trained Menopause Champions and the introduction of our Menopause Policy.
Executive Director of People and Organisational Development, Stella Cheetham, said:
“I think it’s pleasing that we have, for a second year in a row, achieved this accreditation as a best UK workplace for women. It really shows how as an organisation we strive for representation and that we listen and act on behalf of our female colleagues.
“I’m sure that this will be an appealing factor in our recruitment, that we are an organisation that supports colleagues to be the best they can, and that we will continue to be a supportive workplace for women.”
