Waking Night Support Worker – Female Only

  • New Southgate, N11.
  • Full time and part time hours considered.
  • 10 hours shift – 9:30pm - 7am

Are you someone who thrives at night and wants to make a real difference in people’s lives? At Dimensions UK, we’re looking for a reliable female Waking Night Support Worker to join our team in a supported living home in New Southgate, London.

You’ll be supporting four older adults (two men and two women, aged 60–70s) with a range of needs. One woman receives 1:1 support overnight, which is why this role is open to female applicants only. This role is all about ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety during the night. You’ll be part of a small, friendly team working alongside two other night staff.

Your responsibilities will include personal care, monitoring wellbeing, and helping individuals settle throughout the night. You’ll also carry out essential tasks like cleaning, checking food expiry dates, and writing detailed logs to hand over to the day team.

Some people you’ll support use wheelchairs or hoists, and others follow a pureed diet, full training is provided so you’ll feel confident in every aspect of support. Communication styles vary, so you’ll need to be observant and responsive, using gestures, objects of reference, and body language to understand each person’s needs.

While the home is quiet at night, your presence is vital. You’ll help maintain a calm, safe environment and be ready to respond to any needs that arise.

  • Full training, including epilepsy management, hoisting, and dietary support.
