Are you bubbly, outgoing, and ready to make a difference in someone’s life? We’re looking for someone just like you to join our dedicated support team for a wonderful woman in her 30s who loves to explore new activities and enjoys life to the fullest. This is an exciting opportunity to work 2:1 in a lively environment with a supportive family and an individual who thrives on positive energy and engagement.

Meet the Person We Support:

This amazing woman, who communicates through a communication aid, is living her best life. She’s always up for trying new things and loves being active, so if you're the kind of person who’s ready to dive into activities, this is the perfect job for you!

What She Loves to Do:

You’ll get to join her in a variety of fun activities like:

  • Watching movies
  • Enjoying music
  • Swimming
  • Bowling
  • Arts and crafts
  • Shopping sprees
  • Pampering sessions (painting nails, face masks)
  • Long family walks
  • Helping with cooking and cleaning

Her life is full of adventures, from holidays to Center Parcs to frequent family cruises. You’ll have the chance to travel with her and her supportive family (who live right next door!). Together, you’ll create wonderful memories while enjoying fun outings and new experiences.

Essential support:

  • You’ll be supporting her with personal care, including hoisting (manual and ceiling hoist in the bedroom), toileting, bathing, hair washing, shaving, and dressing. Training will be provided.
  • She currently uses a wheelchair and a buggy for walks, with an electric wheelchair on the way.
  • You’ll receive specialised training on administering oral medication and managing her mic-key button.
  • You’ll follow her speech and language therapy (SALT) plans for eating and drinking and assist with meal preparation.

Shift Patterns:

We offer flexible and consistent shift patterns, including 8am-10pm or 8am-8pm and every other weekend.

Who We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking female staff with a vibrant personality and a willingness to learn. You’ll need to be comfortable driving her van, a minibus with three seats upfront and plenty of space for her wheelchair. The van is automatic, so you'll need to feel confident driving an automatic vehicle.

Free Parking: No need to worry about parking, there’s plenty of space!
