Join Our Team as a Female Support Worker in Worcester!
Location: Worcester, WR5 (Just a 3min Drive from Worcester Shrub Hill Train Station)
Pay Rate: £12 per hour + £50 per Sleep-In Shift
Position: Full-Time (37.5 Hours Per Week)
Requirements: Full UK Manual Driving Licence Essential

Who Will I Be Supporting?

You’ll be supporting four vibrant and social gentlemen in their 20s-40s who know their own minds and love to live life to the fullest:

  • Football Enthusiasts & Music Lovers: They enjoy cheering on their favorite teams, jamming to their favorite tunes, and sharing laughs with the people around them.
  • Foodies & Gamers: Whether it’s savoring delicious meals, enjoying a drink, or playing games on their Xbox with support staff, their zest for life is contagious.
  • Adventurous Souls: They love visiting museums, cathedrals, the cinema, and the theater. They also enjoy hydropool sessions and swimming – and you’ll need to be comfortable getting in the water with them!

These gentlemen are full-time wheelchair users with clear preferences and unique personalities, and they value support staff who take the time to understand and celebrate their individuality.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will be diverse and rewarding. They include:

  • Empowering Independence: Support them in making their own choices, participating in daily activities, and enjoying their interests.
  • Daily Living Support: Help with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
  • Engaging in Activities: Join them in their favorite hobbies, from football and gaming to swimming and cultural outings.
  • Building Connections: Take the time to understand their unique communication styles and needs, ensuring they feel supported and respected.

Shift Patterns

We’re looking for Support Workers with flexibility to work a combination of shifts, including weekdays and weekends. Rotas are provided in advance to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

  • Day Shifts 8am - 4pm
  • Day Shifts 9am - 5pm
  • Day Shifts 1pm - 9pm
  • Long Day with Sleep-In: 3pm - 2pm the following day (includes a sleep-in shift)
  • Sleep-In Shift: 11pm - 7am (1-2 shifts per week)
