Pay Rate: £12.31 (£50 Per Sleep-In Shift)
Hours: Part-Time, 22.5 hours per week
Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence (Auto Friendly)

Are you enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about making a difference? We have an exciting opportunity for a Female Support Worker to join our team in Wokingham!

Who Will You Be Supporting?

You will be supporting three wonderful individuals (two men and one lady) with learning disabilities, autism, and epilepsy. They are all wheelchair users and enjoy a variety of activities. One gentleman requires 24-hour support due to being partially blind, having epilepsy, and potential behaviours of distress. They enjoy:

  • Going Out: Visiting the theatre, activity clubs, and going for walks.
  • Swimming: Absolutely love swimming.
  • Social Events: Attending music festivals, bowling, and trips to the seaside.
  • Community Activities: Engaging in various community activities.

What Will You Be Doing?

Each day will be different, but you will be supporting with:

  • Personal Care: Providing assistance with personal care tasks.
  • Community Support: Offering 1:1 and 2:1 support when out in the community.
  • Mobility Assistance: Supporting individuals who use wheelchairs.
  • Meal Preparation: Preparing meals and supporting residents with their dietary needs.
  • Medication Administration: Ensuring residents receive their medication as prescribed.
  • Household Tasks: Assisting with housework, shopping, cooking, budgeting, and attending hospital/GP appointments.
  • Emotional Support: Providing reassurance and managing behaviours positively.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, upbeat, compassionate, and kind. You should be:

  • Experienced with Disabilities: Comfortable working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and epilepsy.
  • Strong Communicator: Able to provide clear and confident communication.
  • Positive and Resilient: Capable of seeing the positives and coping in a dynamic environment.
  • Outgoing and Active: Enjoys engaging in various activities and outings.

Shift Patterns:

  • Flexible Across the Week:

    • 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
    • 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
    • Sleep-Ins: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Occasional Cover Required)

Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.
