Whether you're an experienced support worker or just starting out, Dimensions will be with you every step of the way, offering full training, ongoing guidance, and the opportunity to gain qualifications like the Care Certificate.
Dimensions is a values-driven, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, behaviours of distress, and complex health needs. As one of the UK’s leading care providers, we’re proud to deliver life-changing, person-centred support.
About the Role
This opportunity is based in a registered care home in Barnet, where you’ll support seven individuals, three women and four men, aged between their 50s and 90s. Each person has their own room, and the home operates with multiple staff on shift at all times. Due to the complexity of health needs, support is provided on a 2:1 basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
This is a lively, joyful home where karaoke nights, football matches, and outings to local restaurants are part of everyday life. Interests across the house include music, cinema, walks, day trips, and Greek culture so if you share any of these passions, you’ll fit right in!
Communication styles vary, with some people using words to communicate and others using alternative communication methods. A calm, patient, and thoughtful approach is essential. You’ll also receive full training to support individuals with epilepsy and other complex medical needs.
Shifts and Working Pattern
Day shifts run between 7:00am and 9:45pm and can be split into half days (around 7.5 hours). Sleep-in shifts are also required as part of your full-time role. You’ll be expected to work alternate weekends.
