Dimensions is seeking a FemaleSupport Worker to make a meaningful difference to a lady and gentleman we support in Darlington, by empowering their independence and supporting them to lead fulfilled lives.

We are able to accept applications for a part-time Female Support Worker (32 Hours per week). Working a mixture of 08.00-23.00 plus sleep in and 07.30-08.00 and 10.00-16.00/17.00 shifts

The people we support are in their 50’s & 60’s. they are autistic and have learning disabilities along with some associated healthcare needs. The people we support both enjoy full lives and would like to meet a Female Support Worker who can support them to:

  • Go shopping
  • Take trips to the beach
  • Enjoy music, shows and the cinema
  • Going to the pub
  • Visit museums
  • Having meals out

Female Support Workers will also support by assisting with day-to-day tasks (which include – but are not limited to – finances, shopping, cooking & personal care)

The gentleman we support would like you to know that he does not use words to communicate but he has ways of telling you what he wants. If you have not worked with someone who communicates in this way before, don’t worry Dimensions will provide you with full training.

As the people we support have their own vehicles it is essential all Female Support Workers hold a full UK/EU Manual Driving License.
