At Dimensions, being a Support Worker isn’t just a job – it’s a career with growth, purpose, and real rewards.
We’re looking for a female Support Worker to join our team in a supported living bungalow, supporting four wonderful ladies aged between 50 and their late 80s. Every day brings new opportunities to make a difference.
Your role will involve providing thoughtful, person-centred support with personal care and mobility. You’ll also help with meal preparation and menu planning, following SALT guidelines to ensure safe eating. One lady has a rare genetic condition and requires significant medication support, so experience with medication administration would be a real advantage.
Communication is at the heart of this role. One lady uses sounds instead of words, while another experiences complex mental health behaviours, so patience, empathy, and clear communication are essential.
Shifts follow a rolling rota with advance notice, including a mix of long and short shifts, sleep-ins (typically one per week), and every other weekend. For those on a 16-hour contract, shifts are usually 3pm–10pm.
Driving is part of the role, as you’ll support the ladies to and from their hub and on outings such as coffees, cinema trips, singalongs, baking, and crafting. You’ll need a manual UK driving licence, but not your own car. The home is well-connected by bus and train routes, making commuting straightforward.
Every day is different, every day is rewarding and you’ll be part of an organisation recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces.
