We’re looking for a Female Support Worker to join our friendly team in Bromsgrove, supporting three individuals with profound learning disabilities, ADHD and autism. If you are enthusiastic, caring and enjoy creating meaningful experiences for others, this could be the role for you.
Who You Will Be Supporting
You will support two ladies and one gentleman, aged from their 20s to 60s. Each person has their own personality, preferences, and support needs. They enjoy:
Communication needs vary; one person uses Makaton, and all benefit from positive behaviour support. Two individuals require support with personal care, including continence care. One lady uses a wheelchair when out in the community.
Families are actively involved, and strong communication is highly valued.
Your Role
You will provide person-centred 1:1 support that helps each individual live well, stay safe, and enjoy meaningful activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Personal care
Supporting two individuals with their daily personal care needs.
Medication administration
Following training and guidance to manage prescribed medication.
Meal preparation
Preparing meals and supporting healthy routines.
Promoting independence
Encouraging confidence, decision-making and daily living skills.
Meaningful activities
Planning and engaging in activities tailored to each person’s interests and needs.
Communication and emotional support
Supporting individuals who communicate differently, including using Makaton and other strategies.
Positive behaviour support
Responding confidently and respectfully to behaviours of concern, with full training provided.
We are looking for someone who is firm with boundaries, yet warm, creative, positive and energetic.
Shift Patterns
We are currently looking to cover one long-day sleep-in and one long-day shift.

What We’re Looking For
You will thrive in this role if you are:
Experience with Makaton or behaviours of concern is helpful but not essential — full training is provided.
