The Head of Property & Housing Supply is the senior lead for all property related matters:

  • The standards, safety, compliance, energy performance and quality of all properties where Dimensions has responsibility for whole or partial property maintenance, management and investment – including Dimensions Group freehold properties, leasehold properties, and specific property related responsibilities set out in management agreements, service level agreements and any other arrangements
  • Owner of all property and housing supply related policy
  • Building and developing effective relationships and partnerships that can support Dimensions to grow its supply of housing of owned, leased and managed property
  • Regulatory and legal compliance and relationships and lead accountability for property funders (Homes England, Decarbonisation Funding etc…)
  • Decarbonisation of Dimensions properties, securing funding for decarbonisation and taking a lead role in Dimensions Carbon Reduction Plan
  • Optimising use of all Dimensions Group built assets and ensuring long term financial viability of all investment in property
  • Supporting the wider leadership of the Housing and Communications Directorate and Dimensions UK through membership of the Leadership Group

There will be travel across the country to visit homes and attend senior leadership meetings.

Interviews will take place on the 11th July face to face in London at the National Council for Voluntary Organisation.

About the role 

Your main duties will include: 

  • Provide operational leadership of the asset management, maintenance, responsive repairs, statutory compliance services and strategic asset management and housing supply teams.
  • Programme and commission Fire, Legionella, Asbestos, Gas, Electrical, Thermostatic Valve and Lift risk assessments, servicing, testing, inspections, remedial works, registers, record, data and assurance reporting (including Dimensions UK Board) and ensure statutory compliance with all safety regulations on all properties that are identified as Dimensions Responsibility.
  • Deliver efficient, data driven programmes of day-to-day repairs, voids, cyclical maintenance, planned works, and projects and wherever possible ensure that Tenants and people we support are engaged and involved in making choices of their home environment.
  • Identify repairs that can be better served through planned maintenance.

About you

The successful applicant will have: 

  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualified.
  • Experience of managing property related functions within the public sector, social housing or similar. 
  • Ability to negotiate and influence at senior levels, both internally and externally and to make prompt, clear and well-considered decisions with regard to risk factors. 
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory compliance requirements in management of buildings
