HR Director - Home Based

Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are accredited by the Great Places To Work programme in 2024 – now 6 years in a row!

Driven by our values, we are one of the country’s leading not-for-profit organisations supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people. The people we support, along with their families, are at the heart of everything we do, and our strategy is to deliver Better Lives for More People. We want every person we support to lead a fulfilling life, and our 7,000 colleagues working in England and Wales are currently improving the lives of 3,000 people.

The HR Director will provide strategic HR leadership for Dimensions Group and ensure the delivery of an effective, responsive and exemplar HR Business Partnering service to the organisation - its leaders, managers and colleagues.

You will provide motivational leadership and direction to the HR Business Partner team, ensuring that it delivers effective HR Business partner services to the organisation that meets the needs of all stakeholders and is in line with our values.

You will be the HR lead for the Discovery Social Enterprise Board and manage the negotiations with Unison Southwest, the Discovery recognised trade union.

You will also deputise for the Chief People Officer as required and be a proactive and effective member of both the HR senior team and the wider Dimensions Leadership Group. Amongst other things, this will involve acting as the strategic HR lead for wellbeing and being a member of the organisation’s business continuity steering group.

The role will be home based, although you will be expected to undertake business travel including occasional overnight stays (normally to Somerset, London or Birmingham, and typically around 6-8 times per year).

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 12th February in London face to face.
