Why Join Us?

As a Lead Support Worker, you’ll not only have the chance to make a lasting impact in people’s lives, but you’ll also play a key role in guiding a team to provide high quality support. Your work will ensure the smooth, effective day-to-day running of the home, and you’ll work as an essential link between the people we support, their families, and our organisation. This is a chance to mentor, inspire, and lead by example!

What You'll Do

Your role is all about supporting individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives. As a Lead Support Worker, you’ll work closely with the Locality and Assistant Locality Manager to ensure the quality of support is person centred. Using the “Activate” approach, you’ll help people reach personal goals while promoting Dimensions’ values. Here’s an overview of your key responsibilities:

  • Understanding the needs of the person you support, setting goals and supporting them in essential life skills, from personal care to household tasks.
  • Lead the induction and training of new staff, provide ongoing training, and offer constructive feedback to help the team deliver exceptional, person-centred support.
  • Complete medication and finance audits, manage health and safety protocols, and ensure the home is always a safe environment.
  • Serve as the main contact for families, medical professionals, and other support networks, ensuring clear communication.
  • Accompany individuals to medical appointments, monitor their health needs, and support their personal wellness.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in a senior or lead support role, along with a strong understanding of person-centred care, health & safety, and support planning.
  • Ability to inspire and develop team members to deliver their best work while maintaining a positive and supportive environment.
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude with the flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • A willingness to participate in ongoing training and development, working toward relevant qualifications to further your career.

What We Offer

Joining us means joining a team that cares. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer:

  • A comprehensive benefits package, worth up to £1,220 per year.
  • 30 days annual leave (rising to 35 days) including bank holidays.
  • A pension plan with contributions from both employer and employee.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family.
  • Discounts and cashback options via Rewarding Dimensions.
  • Extensive training upon joining, plus continuous career development through our Aspire program.
  • Long Service Awards every five years, and recognition through our Inspiring People Awards.

This role is much more than a job; it’s a chance to make a meaningful difference every day while advancing your career in social care. Apply now to start your next chapter with us!
