Male Support Worker

  • Part-Time Male Support Worker
  • 22 hours per week.
  • North Hykeham, Lincoln, LN6
  • Full UK driving licence essential (Must be able to drive an automatic car)

Are you ready to make a real difference? We’re looking for a male Support Worker to join a supported living home in North Hykeham, Lincoln, supporting four gentlemen aged between their 30s and mid-60s. This is a busy, active home filled with humour, banter, and a strong sense of community, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

The gentlemen you’ll support like their week to include cinema trips and football club to discos, gardening, and swimming. One gentleman swims twice a week, so you’ll need to feel comfortable in the water. They love going out and being present in their local community, so you’ll be supporting them to events, clubs, and appointments, often driving the home’s automatic vehicles.

We’re looking for someone assertive, upbeat, and present, someone who’s fully engaged with the people they support. A good sense of humour is essential, as the gentlemen love a joke and thrive on lively interaction. Clear communication is key.

This is supported living, which means you’ll be working in someone’s home, helping them live life on their terms. The home is well connected with great public transport links, making it easy to get to and from work.

Support needs vary, you’ll be supporting with everything from cooking and cleaning to personal care and mobility support and encouraging independence and building confidence in daily routines.

Shifts follow a rolling rota, typically running from 7am to 10pm, with sleep-ins expected at least once a week. Weekend work is usually every other weekend, though the rota may vary. You’ll always know your schedule in advance.
