Are you ready to make a meaningful impact while working in a vibrant, supportive environment? We’re looking for enthusiastic and proactive Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Wokingham, supporting four amazing gentlemen in their 50s–60s to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Who Will You Be Supporting?

You’ll work in a lively registered care home full of activities. Each gentleman has learning disabilities, and some also live with epilepsy. Here’s what makes them special:

  • Vibrant and Social: They enjoy music, football matches, sensory sessions, and arts and crafts.
  • Foodies: Love planning and sharing meals—cooking at home or dining out at the local pub.
  • Active and Engaged: Trips to town on the bus and visits with the “Music Man” make their days exciting.
  • Unique Communication Styles: Three individuals do not use words to communicate and thrive with patient, empathetic support.

This is a home filled with laughter, music, and creativity—a place where every day is an opportunity to make a positive impact.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Promoting Independence: Assist with personal care, budgeting, meal prep, and shopping.
  • Encouraging Activities: Support outings to the cinema, sensory sessions, and football matches.
  • Providing Tailored Care: Offer specialised support, including PEG feeding for one individual.
  • Maintaining the Home: Help with housework and meal planning.
  • Building Relationships: Work closely with families and team members to create a positive atmosphere.

  • Long Days: 8:00am – 8:00pm
Rotas provided in advance for a healthy work-life balance.

  • Empathetic & Encouraging: A kind, understanding approach goes a long way.
  • Proactive & Organised: Help maintain routines and plan activities.
