  • Part time – 24 hours per week.
  • Shift - 8pm – 8am
  • Full UK driving licence with own car essential.
  • £12.00 per hour

About the Role:
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing overnight care and support to a gentleman in Arbury. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing companionship and emotional support during the night.
  • Assisting with personal care tasks with empathy and sensitivity.
  • Keeping a watchful eye on individuals throughout the night, monitoring their well-being, and promptly responding to any issues or emergencies that may arise.
  • Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment throughout the night.
  • Administering medications as prescribed, following proper protocols and ensuring individuals receive their medications on time.
  • Providing updates and exchanging information with other team members, including day staff, healthcare professionals, and supervisors, to ensure continuity of support.

Requirements:

  • A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to support others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Previous experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential.
  • Availability to work waking night shifts is required, with flexibility to work daytime shifts during the training and induction period.
  • Must understand that this is a flexible position and In the future, you must be able to work across two or three different locations in Cambridgeshire.
