Are you an experienced Support Worker with a passion for making a difference? If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!

------------------------------------------------

Who will I be supporting?

A young lady in her early 30s who has a learning disability & a personality disorder

She is settling into her lovely supported living home

She’s a chatty lady who likes to socialise

She owns her own cat so you must be comfortable being around cats.

She requires 2:1 support at all times so you will be working alongside a colleague

She has a wide range of interests and loves a variety of activities so you must be confident supporting her in anything she might choose to do.

What will I be doing?

You will be supporting this lady to be herself and achieve her goals whilst managing her risk in the community

She is independent when it comes to her personal care but appreciates some friendly reminders and encouragement

She appreciates prompting/active support with her meal preparation, medication, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry

She will soon be getting her very own Motability car so it is desirable that you have a Full, clean, UK License.

You will need a sound understanding of risk management to maintain appropriate structures and boundaries that will enable you to support this young lady to reach her goals whilst living safely in the community

Specialised positive behaviour support will be provided but it’s essential that you’ve supported people with complex behavioural, emotional and/or mental health needs previously.
