Join our fantastic team as a Support Worker in a cozy bungalow that’s home to three elderly gentlemen, each with their own unique personalities and needs. This isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to build meaningful relationships and help them live their best lives!

Who You'll Be Supporting

You’ll be supporting three gentlemen aged 60-75, each with their own interests and preferences. They enjoy a peaceful life surrounded by a lovely garden, a fishpond, a house rabbit, and a friendly cat. Being comfortable with animals is essential, as they are a beloved part of this household!

What You'll Be Doing

As a Support Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in assisting the gentlemen with their daily routines while ensuring they lead fulfilling lives. Here’s a taste of what you can expect:

  • Engagement in Activities: The gentlemen love to stay active and explore new things! You’ll support them in exciting outings, from visiting the London Eye and enjoying theme parks to exploring local car boot sales and charity shops. One gentleman has a particular passion for tools, ABBA, and Disney, while another enjoys documentaries and birdwatching.
  • Personal Care Support: Two of the gentlemen require full support with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and ensuring their comfort throughout the day, while the other gentleman is completely independent. Your compassionate support will be essential in helping them maintain their dignity.
  • Mobility Support: You’ll assist with mobility needs, including the use of a mobile hoist and wheelchair assistance for outings.
  • Meal Preparation: Meal prep is another vital part of your role. You’ll help prepare meals while managing a gluten-free diet for one gentleman, ensuring everyone enjoys delicious and nutritious food.
  • Health Management: Your responsibilities will include administering oral medications and one inhaler, ensuring all health needs are met with care and attention.

Shift Patterns

We offer a variety of shift patterns, including 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM, 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM, and shorter shifts every other weekend. Flexibility is key, and we’re happy to discuss the hours that best suit you!
