Support Worker Opportunity

• Part time – 22.5 hours per week
• Stevenage, Hertfordshire
• £12.00 per hour
• Shifts – 7:30am – 10:00pm / 7:30am-3pm/ 3pm-10pm and sleep ins.

Hi there! I’m looking for a Support Worker to help me live my best life. I’m in my mid-20s and live independently in my own home! I’d say I’m easy-going, and I need someone who’s patient, friendly, and ready to join my team.

About Me

I love movies, music, and, well, talking! I could hold a conversation for hours, so if you’re chatty, we’ll get along just fine. I enjoy going out for meals, seeing the latest movies, and listening to all kinds of music. Oh, and I’m into swimming and bowling too! You don’t have to be a pro swimmer or anything, just willing to join me in the water now and then.

I also like catching up on soaps and talking about popular culture, so if you can keep up with my interests or share a few of yours, that’d be great! I spend time with my family and like building my independence, so you’ll be there to support me in maintaining those relationships while I do my own thing too.

Here’s What I Need from You

This is a 1:1 role, so I’ll need your full attention. You’ll help me with a few daily tasks, encourage me to try new things, and be there for me when I need some motivation. Sometimes, I need a little help staying on track, but a bit of patience and creativity will make it easy. Here’s what else you’ll be doing:

• Personal Care: Mostly, I just need reminders and a bit of help with things like putting on cream after my bath.
• Medication: Nothing too complicated—just assisting with creams and inhalers when I need them.
• Activities & Outings: I love going to the movies, trying out different places to eat, and having fun in the community. If you’re up for joining me, that’d be perfect!
• Encouragement: I’ll need you to give me a little nudge sometimes. I can get a bit relaxed, so it helps if you can keep me engaged and encourage me to stay active.

About You

• A Good Driver: If you have a full UK/EU driving license and your own car, that’s a plus (but not a must).
• Positive & Friendly: I’m looking for someone who’s upbeat and understanding. It helps if you can stay calm and friendly, even when I might get a bit stressed.
• Open to New Things: You don’t need to know everything I’m into, but if you’re willing to jump in and try, we’ll have a lot of fun. For example, I might want to try something that’s new for you too, so being open-minded is important.
