Dream Job Alert – Support Worker for a Football Superfan!
About the Role:
Introducing Jordan – a 39-year-old football supporter.
Jordan is a fun, outgoing, and active young man who loves routine but also enjoys a bit of spontaneity. He has cerebral palsy, a learning disability, autism, and mental health needs, and he’s looking for the right person to support him in living life to the fullest. Jordan is a huge football fan—you’ll be joining him at matches and training sessions. He also loves comedy nights (he’s seen Ricky Gervais live!) and the thrill of fast rides at theme parks. Jordan is keen to go to the gym and would really benefit from someone to support and motivate him.
One of Jordan’s previous support workers described her experience as incredibly rewarding; “When supporting Jordan, I really enjoyed helping him to live his best life and have the independence to do the things he enjoys. We have been able to experience so many different things together – concerts, comedy shows, football matches, and trips to London. We have been to Winter Wonderland, gone ice skating, and even visited the top of The Shard.”
But life is not just about big moments – the small but important ones matter too. Jordan works hard as a council member and needs someone to support his independence while making sure he is having fun along the way. He has a great sense of humour, loves to laugh, and needs someone who can keep up with his energy and bring positivity when he needs it most.

What Jordan is Looking For:
We’re looking for a proactive, fun, and outgoing person with a great sense of humour. You’ll need patience for repetitive tasks and be happy to join in with Jordans interests, even if they’re not your own. Strong communication skills are essential.
Flexibility is key—you must work every Saturday and some Sundays for West Ham games which Jordan attends with his brother and friends. Support is needed on set days due to his work, and this schedule is non-negotiable.
You must drive, have your own car, and be willing to get business insurance. The role is in a great location with free parking, close to the A12 and Stanway.
This isn’t just a pick-up/drop-off role—we want someone who genuinely cares about Jordan, his life, and his interests.
