Join Our Team as a Support Worker in Letchworth!
Do you have the confidence and resilience to empower someone to live life on their terms? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you!
The role
We’re looking for a Support Worker to assist a gentleman in his mid-40s living in his own ground-floor flat in Letchworth. Letchworth has a blend of green spaces, cultural spots, and local amenities, it provides a great environment for both work and leisure. The town has plenty to offer, from parks and cafes to a cinema and community events, making it an ideal setting to support someone in leading an active and fulfilling life.
As part of your role, you will be encouraging and supporting him to engage in his favourite hobbies, whether it’s enjoying a trip to the pub, going for walks, watching films, or playing Xbox. He enjoys trying new things, so you’ll play a key role in introducing him to new interests and hobbies. You will also assist with personal care when needed, particularly at night, and provide support with meal preparation to help him maintain a healthy diet.
Supporting his mental health is a key aspect of this role. He sometimes experiences delusions, so we need someone who is confident, calm, and understanding.
