Experienced Support Workers

Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Location: Tingley, Wakefield (13 min drive from Dewsbury and District Hospital)

Pay: £13.54ph

Requirement: UK Driving Licence Essential

About the People We Support

We support 3 active gentlemen who enjoy a variety of activities and interests. Strong initiative and the right values are essential for this role.

Your Role:

You will:

  • Support the gentlemen in living their lives how they choose.
  • Help them build skills and maintain independence.
  • Provide support with activities, personal care, medication, and domestic tasks like cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Offer emotional reassurance and support during behaviours of distress (full Positive Behaviour Support training is provided).

Activities: The gentlemen enjoy:

  • Gaming
  • Cinema visits
  • Keeping active, gym, walking, trampolining, bowling
  • Holidays
  • Spending time with family

The individuals we support have learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours of distress, so we're looking for confident, highly motivated support workers who are passionate about helping others live life to the fullest.

Shift Patterns

Day shifts, some with sleep shifts, varying between 8–14 hours.
Rotas provided at least 4 weeks in advance to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
