Join Our Team as a Support Worker in Hartlepool!

Location: Hartlepool, TS25 (Just a 6min drive from Seaton Carew Train Station)
Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour (£50 Per Sleep-In Shift)
Hours: 16 hours per week (Plus Sleep-In Shift)
Requirements: Must be a driver with a full manual UK driving licence

Who Will You Be Supporting?

You will be supporting four young males in their shared home. They have complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours of distress. They are passionate about:

• Gaming: Love playing PlayStation games.
• Trains and Fancy Cars: Enthusiasts of trains and fancy cars.
• Newcastle United Football Team: Big fans of Newcastle United.
• Outdoor Activities: Enjoy going out in the car, monster trucks, motorbikes, and trains.

What Will You Be Doing?

Each day will be different, but you will be supporting with:

• Personal Care: Providing hand-over-hand support and prompting for personal care tasks.
• Medication Administration: Ensuring residents receive their medication as prescribed.
• Meal Preparation: Preparing meals and supporting residents with their dietary needs, including supervision for dysphagia.
• Daily Living: Helping residents live their lives the way they choose to.
• Communication: Supporting residents with varied communication needs, including verbal communication, Makaton, and other methods.

Shift Patterns:

• Long Day Sleep-In Shifts: 9am – 9am the following day (Weekdays & Weekends - Includes Sleep-In Shift)
• Short Day Sleep-In Shifts: 12noon – 9am the following day (Weekdays & Weekdays, term time - Includes Sleep-In Shift)
• Sleep-In Shift: 11pm-7am (£50 per shift)
• On call / Stand by - £25 per shift responsibility 
• Flexibility to work a combination of shifts during the week and at weekends is required.
• Rotas are provided 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance.
