Support Worker – Make a Real Difference in Ipswich!
Looking for a job that changes lives? This is it!
We are Dimensions, a leading not-for-profit organisation supporting people with learning disabilities and autism. Right now, we’re looking for upbeat, compassionate, and confident Support Workers to join our large and diverse team in Ipswich.
Meet the Gentlemen You'll Be Supporting
In Ipswich, we are currently supporting three gentlemen between the ages of 30-40. They’re visual communicators, so body language and pictures help them communicate successfully. They love social hobbies such as bowling, football, cinema, swimming (you will need to be comfortable in the water!), and even disco nights!
Independence and personal choice are key in their daily lives. While full support is needed with personal care, dignity and respect must always be maintained. Staff prepare meals to accommodate individual preferences and dietary needs, with occasional guidance required during mealtimes. Medication support is also an essential part of the role. Above all, the ideal support worker is patient, understanding, and brings positive energy, helping to make each day enjoyable and fulfilling.
Who We Are Looking For
There is no 'typical' support worker at Dimensions. Our team includes school leavers, career changers, experienced support workers, and those at the end of different careers who want to give back to their community. We value diversity and recruit based on shared values and an eagerness to learn.
Why Choose Dimensions?
Dimensions is one of the few social care organisations accredited by the Great Places to Work programme for seven consecutive years as of 2025. We take pride in our supportive and rewarding work environment.
