Where Will You Work?
At interview, you'll be matched to one of two welcoming homes in Colchester:
Home One: Supporting three young adults (one woman, two men, aged 19-22). They love baking, painting, arts and crafts, and community outings. “Emma” attends a day centre, enjoys dance, swimming (staff must join in the pool), and creative interests. “Ryan” is starting the gym soon and enjoys bowling and cinema trips. We need an enthusiastic, imaginative staff member who can think outside the box, introducing exciting interests, and communicate positively and effectively.
Home Two: Supporting three gentlemen in a lovely bungalow with a large garden. Lone working on nights, while day shifts are usually 1:1, but typically two staff are at home unless accompanying someone to an interest. One gentleman enjoys a quiet life, beach trips, feeding ducks, a pub lunch with a pint, and watching Mr. Bean! Meanwhile, one gentleman is very sociable, attending sports confidence classes, dance, and travelling everywhere: London trips, boat cruises, countryside walks. Patience and adaptability are essential.
