At Dimensions, we don’t just provide support, we shape lives and empower futures. Whether you're an experienced support worker or someone ready to invest the time and passion to grow into the role, this is your opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, values-led organisation on an exciting journey of change.
We're seeking someone who leads by example, who’s compassionate, patient, and eager to grow. In this role, you’ll support a gentleman, in his 40s, living in his own home and requires 24-hour support. He has epilepsy and can sometimes express himself through behaviours of distress. That’s why he needs someone calm, resilient, and patient, who can listen and adapt to his needs. With the right support worker, he can feel understood, respected, and supported to live the life he chooses.
He has many interests from swimming and sports to music (he plays the guitar and organ), exploring churches, going out for meals, and visiting theme parks. His annual holidays are a highlight for him, and he enjoys a good show or musical performance. If you share or appreciate these interests, you’ll find this role incredibly rewarding.
You will be supporting him with all aspects of daily life, including full personal care, medication, meal preparation and attending appointments. Support is typically 2:1 during the day and 1:1 overnight Flexibility across early, late and weekend shifts is required, with at least one sleep-in per week.
You’ll also need to be confident travelling to neighbouring locations (Buxton, Coltishall, Norwich) and comfortable with flexibility — but in return, you'll become part of a team where your development is invested in, your ideas matter, and your contribution is recognised.
As one of the UK's leading not-for-profit providers, Dimensions offers genuine opportunities for career progression, and a culture where support workers are respected and empowered. Join us — and help lead the way.
