Are you calm, patient, and looking for a role where you can truly make a difference? If you enjoy creating a homely, supportive environment and can adapt your approach to meet individual needs, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Who Will You Be Supporting?

You’ll be supporting two adopted siblings—a brother and sister in their 50s—who live together in a warm, welcoming home. They each have their own unique personalities and support needs:

  • The lady is vibrant, outgoing, and loves holidays—especially trips to Butlins!
  • Her brother prefers calm, quiet environments and has a passion for trains and public transport. He recently enjoyed a holiday focused on steam trains.

Both individuals have learning disabilities, and one has Down syndrome. They require support with daily routines, diet management, and occasional behaviours of distress (full training provided).

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Support Worker, you’ll be:

  • Creating a Calm, Supportive Environment: Adapting your approach to suit each person’s needs
  • Daily Living Support: Assisting with personal care, medication, and meal preparation (including portion control support)
  • Engaging in Activities: Supporting with holidays, hobbies, and community outings
  • Building Trust: Providing consistent, person-centred support with patience and empathy

What Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Calm & Adaptable: Able to tailor support to individual personalities and preferences
  • Patient & Supportive: Brings a homely, nurturing approach to care
  • Firm but Fair: Able to set gentle boundaries while maintaining a positive atmosphere
  • Team-Oriented: Works well with others and values collaboration
  • Driver: Not essential, but preferred for ease of commuting

Whether you’re new to support work or have experience, we’ll provide all the training you need to thrive.
