Are you looking for a role where your work truly matters? Whether you’re an experienced Support Worker or just starting out, Dimensions will support you every step of the way with full training, ongoing guidance, and the chance to gain recognised qualifications like the Care Certificate.
We’re a values-led, not-for-profit organisation supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, behaviours of distress, and complex health needs. As one of the UK’s leading support providers, we’re proud to deliver person centred support that transforms lives.
About the Role
This opportunity is based in a registered care home in Barnet, where you’ll support seven individuals, three women and four men, aged between their 50s and 90s. Each person has their own room, and the home is staffed by a team at all times. Due to the complexity of health needs, support is provided on a 2:1 basis.
Your role will include:
This is a welcoming home where karaoke nights, football matches, and meals out are part of everyday life. Interests across the house include music, cinema, walks, day trips, and Greek culture so if you share any of these passions, you’ll feel right at home.
Communication styles vary, with some people using words to communicate and others using alternative methods. A calm, patient, and thoughtful approach is key. You’ll also receive full, in-person training to support individuals with epilepsy and other complex medical needs.
Shifts and Working Pattern Day shifts run between 7:00am and 9:45pm and can be split into half days (around 7.5 hours). Sleep-in shifts are part of the full-time role, and you’ll be expected to work alternate weekends.
