Are you bubbly, proactive, and passionate about helping others live independently? We’re looking for Support Workers to join our team in West Bromwich, supporting three gentlemen aged 50s–60s who live in their own one-bedroom flats.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that values individuality, promotes independence, and supports people to live life their way.

About the People You’ll Be Supporting

Each gentleman has their own unique personality and interests. They live independently but benefit from 1:1 and occasional 2:1 support, particularly when out in the community. Their support needs include:

  • Learning disabilities and autism
  • Support with personal care
  • Use of wheelchairs
  • Positive behaviour support plans
  • SALT assessments for communication and eating support

They enjoy:

  • Shopping and meals out
  • Cinema trips and bowling
  • Swimming and getting out and about

You’ll be supporting them to maintain their independence, engage in their favourite activities, and live life to the fullest.

Your Role

You’ll be providing person-centred support that includes:

  • Personal care
  • Medication administration
  • Meal preparation
  • Planning and engaging in meaningful activities
  • Supporting communication and emotional wellbeing
  • Promoting independence and confidence

You’ll need to be positive, enthusiastic, and able to bring fresh energy to each day.

Shift Patterns

  • Late Shifts: 2:30pm – 9:30pm (most common)
  • Day Shifts (Occasional Cover): 8:00am – 2:30pm
  • Alternate weekends off

Rotas are planned in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking Support Workers who are:

  • Bubbly and outgoing, with a positive attitude
  • Proactive and organised, with good initiative
  • Empathetic and patient, with a person-centred approach
  • Team players, who also feel confident working independently
  • Experienced with autism and learning disabilities (preferred, but training provided)
