Support Worker – West Bromwich (B70)
Location: West Bromwich, B70 (Just a 20min Walk from Sandwell & Dudley Train Station)
Pay Rate: £12.31
Hours: Part-Time (32 Hours Per Week)
Are you bubbly, proactive, and passionate about helping others live independently? We’re looking for a Support Worker to join our team in West Bromwich, supporting one gentleman in his 60s with learning disabilities in his own one-bedroom flat.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys planning activities, building relationships, and making a real difference in someone’s day-to-day life.
About the Person You’ll Be Supporting
He’s a sociable and active individual who enjoys:
- Shopping trips and meals out
- Cinema, bowling, and swimming
- Spending time with staff and going on holidays
He benefits from 1:1 support, particularly when out in the community. He also has a SALT assessment in place to support his communication and dietary needs.
Your Role
You’ll be providing person-centred support that includes:
- Personal care
- Medication administration
- Meal preparation
- Planning and engaging in meaningful activities
- Supporting communication and emotional wellbeing
- Promoting independence and confidence
You’ll need to be positive, enthusiastic, and able to bring fresh energy to each shift.
Shift Patterns
Week 1:
- Monday & Tuesday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
- Thursday & Friday: 10:00am – 8:00pm
Week 2:
- Monday & Wednesday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
- Saturday & Sunday: 10:00am – 8:00pm
Rotas are planned in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.

- Team players, who also feel confident working independently
- Experienced with learning disabilities and autism (preferred, but training provided)
