About the Role
We’re looking for experienced support workers to join our team in a specialist supported living home, working 2:1 with a young woman in her early 30s. This is a single-person home, so we’re after people who are emotionally resilient, confident supporting complex behaviours, and committed to building strong, trusting relationships.
Your focus will be on helping her feel safe, understood, and valued. She’s bright, funny, and knows what she likes. You’ll support her with daily routines like preparing meals, personal care, and getting out to the social groups and interests she enjoys.
You’ll be fully supported with training from our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) team, and a clear PBS plan is already in place. During your induction, you’ll work closely with the locality manager and experienced colleagues to help you settle in.
This role needs patience and consistency. It’s about being present and sticking with it, even when things are tough. With the right team, she thrives, especially when there’s humour and connection. Her interests include Barbie, Only Fools and Horses, animals, community clubs, and being out and about.
The home runs 24-hour support with early shifts (7am–2:30pm), lates (2:15pm–9:45/10pm), waking nights (9:45pm–7:15am), and occasional long days. Ideally, you’ll be available for alternate weekends, though more flexibility may be needed at first while we build a consistent team.
