New Year, New Opportunities – Join Our Team in Hemel Hempstead
As the New Year begins, one of the incredible young men we support in Hemel Hempstead is hoping to welcome someone new into his life. He’s not just any man – he’s a marathon runner, a community volunteer, a radio guest, and proudly named Volunteer of the Year by his peers. Earlier this year, he completed the London Marathon in under five hours, raising over £3,400 for a local tearoom where he also volunteers. His friends describe him as “cheerful, willing, hardworking, and a total joy” – and we couldn’t agree more.
He lives independently in his own home and is seeking a support worker who can encourage him, share his interests, and help him stay on track with daily routines such as taking vitamins or checking his medication. He loves running with his local club, woodwork in his shed, cooking (especially live cook-along), long walks with his dog, and spending quality time with his family.
This new year, he’s looking for someone just as enthusiastic about life to support him in continuing to achieve great things. Could that be you?
You’ll work daytime shifts (9am–5pm) and/or evening with sleep-ins (5pm–10pm + sleep-in until 9am) with every other weekend. Sleep-ins finish when he heads to work, usually around 8–9am. You’ll need your own car and be happy to use it during work (mileage covered). If you enjoy being active, that’s a huge bonus. he’d love to share that with you.
